Luke is fortunate to have remarkably supportive mentors, and privileged to work with incredible colleagues. Luke's first lab experience was as an undergraduate at Brandeis in John Lowenstein's lab. During this time he setup crystal trays with Greg Petsko & Dagmar Ringe's group. This experience got him hooked on structural biology. He attended UC Berkeley for his graduate studies in the lab of John Kuriyan, where he dedicated himself to understanding the CaMKII holoenzyme. For his post-doctoral training with Stephen Harrison, he studied viral membrane fusion by fluorescence and electron microscopy. He has been an independent investigator in the Dept. of Molecular at Mass General Hospital / Dept of Genetics at Harvard Medical School since 2016.
